Instructions for Part II
1. Research the country and cities to be visited in order to find an event, place or activity that you would like to visit or do. You must receive prior approval from Dr. Tudor before departure for our destination.
2. Take notes on how you located the excursion, how it was marketed, the cost, when it is available, and what your expectations concerning the excursion are.
3.Upon arriving in the country, confirm your activity and actually do the activity. While traveling to the excursion, during the activity and returning to your hotel, take notes on everything that you see and do - your impressions of the excursion. Be sure to pay special attention to advertisements that you observe during your time completing the excursion.
4.Did this activity meet your expectation? Did it live up to the advertising you read prior to the activity? How would you change anything about the activity? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, place yourself in the role of the marketing director of the activity and answer the question, "What changes would you make concerning the marketing of the activity? You must provide examples and explanations for your choices that are backed up by your readings and/or lectures provided by Dr. Tudor, guest lecturers, and/or business visits.
