Assessment:
Situation
Group project is the application of information with relevant data to an actual problem. In general terms this is where the rubber hits the road. Here you will actually apply research to a problem selected and developed by your group with its real life constraints and limitations, through the application of material from the workshop on "How to Develop a Good Group Project". Note this needs to be a real world problem; case studies from texts or other source will not be accepted. This starting point will include but is not limited to the following:
Identifying the data relevant to the specific problem.
Outline any limitations.
Define the Problem.
Define the Strategy.
Indicate how to measure successes and difficulties.
Recommendations and conclusions
Background
In the first instance you may choose between:
Developing the overall strategy plan for the development of a quality based approach for managing an organisation problem.
Developing a strategy and associated processes for effectively creating groups within an organisation to work on the identification and solution of quality concepts within an organisation.
A quality issue of your choice.
In all three situations your group will have to identify the organisation in which the project is going to take place (real of fictitious), this will include limitation and boundaries to the process at hand. Your group will provide a detailed strategic intervention program aimed at improving organisational performance through the involvement of individuals within the organisation. It is suggested that you provide the platform that you will use for this intervention from a theorists perspective or combination of theorists.
