Argumentative Essay
Create a 2 pages, double-spaced, 12pt Cambria font, 1-inch margins
Write an essay in which you argue the validity of the following:
Many philosophers have argued that art serves no function but rather exists for its own sake. Art existing for its own sake means that art needs no justification for its creation. For example, a work of art like a painting can be made to develop the enterprise of painting itself and does not need to have any political, religious, or social function.
Argue the validity of this point of view by referencing what you learned in class.
Use specific examples to support your argument and explanations.
Show evidence of considered thought and planning (introduction, conclusion, logical sequencing etc.). Have a STRUCTURE to it.
1. Decide what side you're choosing
2. Think about what you learned in class, prepare what you're going to say.
Use clear language, proper grammar, and correct spelling
