Assignment Details : Creating Formative and Summative Assessments
The goal of this Assignment is to develop one formative and one summative assessment in your content area. You will complete this Assignment in two steps.
Develop a scoring rubric for each respective assignment.
Develop the assessments. For each assessment, explain the method selected and the rationale behind each method.
Write one formative and one summative assessment in your content area. If you did not choose written assessments, then provide a complete description of the assessment. For each assessment, address the following:
Explain the method selected and the rationale behind each method. Out of the different assessment devices available, why did you choose the ones you did? How did you evaluate them all? What factored into your ultimate choice?
What do you see as the purpose of student assessment? Use resources such as course readings and/or journal articles to support your answer.
