Homework: Research Methods and Study Design
The purpose of this homework is to identify which research method best applies to the proposed health care issue previously identified and develop the proposed research questions to address your selected issue.
You will evaluate the appropriate research method for your health care proposal. Please note, you are not conducting a research study in this course. You will write a 1,000 to 1,250 words paper comparing the three basic research methods (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods). Address the following items in your discussion:
o Develop proposed research questions for the identified health care issue.
o Justify which method would work best based on the research design.
o Describe the ethical considerations and the requirement for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) in the development of research studies.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
