You will identify your Essay's topic, refine your problem (or opportunity), develop your purpose statement, draft your management question, and describe your audience. To prepare your initial post, remember Plano Clark and Creswells (2015) definitions, below. "Topic/strong is the broad subject matter that the research wishes to address in study (e.g. leadership, organizational communication, organizational change management, strategic management, etc.)" (p. 490). "Problem/strong is a specific issue, concern, or controversy that needs to be solved (e.g. ineffective communication creating inefficiencies in an operation after change initiative)" (p. 490). "Purpose/strong is a statement that describes the overall direction and focus of the study (e.g. identifying best practices to manage organizational change and promote improved performance)" (p. 489). "Research Questions/strong narrow the purpose statement to specific questions that the research seeks to answer in the study" (p. 490). "Audience/strong consists of individuals and groups who you believe will potentially benefit from the information you provide in your study" (p. 487). With these definitions in mind, prepare the following information for your discussion post:
• Identify the topic that describes the broad area of your study.
• Refine the problem that you will research.
• Explain the purpose of your research.
• Develop an overriding management question to address your purpose.
• Indicate the audience that you believe will be interested in your study.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
