Braska Enterprises annual weekend gatherings for employees and family are famous for the food, entertainment, and door prizes. Last year the CowboyUp! Band, your spouse's favorite live band in the region, played at the gathering. You won a big screen TV as one of the prizes, and your children enjoyed playing in the large inflatable obstacle course and jump room. Unfortunately, the economic downturn in the biofuels industry has resulted in idling of two of the company's three ethanol plants and the company has been declared in default by First National Bank for failing last week to make a $4.2 million payment on principal and interest. The idling of the ethanol plants has resulted in 175 company layoffs, including some employees that had been with the company for over 17 years. The company president has decided that a celebration is inappropriate under the circumstances. As Braska Enterprises vice president of personnel, you have been asked to develop an email conveying this information to the company's employees.
