Assignment Description: The Final Project is a group assignment that assesses your abilities to apply supply chain knowledge accumulated in the entire program, compose a research paper, and present proposed solutions in a professional manner. You will explore a case study involving all aspects of supply chain management. Your team will play the role of supply chain consultants working with a client company that faces challenges in choosing suppliers. For Part A, you will work in groups of four or five to analyze your client's situation and provide a solution. This part is worth 30% of your total grade and is due on Day 6. At the end of this assignment, you will be able to: Construct solutions to given problems related to supply chain. Synthesize knowledge relevant to all aspects of supply chain management. Investigate supply chain research into a clear and coherent capstone paper. Recommend researched and proposed solutions to client. Communicate clearly, concisely, and correctly in the written, spoken, and visual form that fulfills the purpose and meets the needs of the audience. Respond to written, spoken, or visual messages in a manner that ensures effective communication. Interact with others in groups or teams in ways that contribute to effective working relationships and the achievement of goals. Manage the use of time and other resources to complete projects. Take responsibility for one's own actions, decisions, and consequences. Examine the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations and supply chain functions, processes and roles to support decision-making, problem-solving, and coordination of tasks. Use leadership and communication skills to establish and manage strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders to support the achievement of business goals. Develop discipline-specific practices that contribute to the Indigenous, local, and global community through social responsibility, economic commitment, and environmental stewardship.
