Develop and solve a linear programming model


Problem: DeltaΒ retailer has two warehouses in the City of Industry. The products from the two warehouses are being distributed weekly to their local stores in the neighboring cities. The available products are 5,800 units in location A and 7,700 unites in location B. The shipping costs from the warehouses to each location are shown below. The demand for the store in El Monte is 3,300 units, West Covina is 4,200, Pomona is 2,500 and Ontario is 3,500. There are a couple of restrictions to which the company must adhere. Due to the size of the truck, delivery from location B to Pomona cannot be more than 1,500 units per week and delivery from location A to West Covina must fulfill the minimum of 1,000 units. Develop and solve a linear programming model using Excel Solver to find the weekly delivery cost, and answer the following questions.
