Discussion Post: Teaching Strategy
Develop a creative teaching strategy. This is a creative approach to teaching a topic chosen by the student. One example would be to choose a prop to use during a traditional lecture to demonstrate a concept. Examples of props: balloon, straw, string, goggles, cotton ball, rubber band, empty 2-liter plastic soft drink container. Another example is to create a wordart to drive home a concept or write a catchy poem to aid student memory of key concepts associated with a nursing topic. Be creative - think outside the box.
Explain your original, creative teaching strategy in a word document or PowerPoint. Explain which learning style would benefit most from this teaching strategy.
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
