Drawing from several resources (the work you did in previous modules, material covered in the reading in this course, and additional research), develop a brief strategic plan that reflects a particular improvement effort to be achieved in your fictitious IS business. There are a number of objectives to be reached in a variety of strategic plans. For instance, you might focus on an IS training program or some motivational reward system
There is no set way to produce a strategic plan. Some list overall goals whereas others focus on findings from the company's SWOT analysis. Some are very simple whereas others are very elaborate. You may wish to develop a commitment plan highlighting a specific set of actions to be taken in your goal to establish credibility. For the purpose of this course, your plan should at least contain sections for:
•Overview of the Business
•Purpose Statement - improvements sought in the business
•Vision Statement
•Mission Statement
•Gap Analysis
•Goals and Objectives
•Critical Strategic Issues
•Action Plans - Strategies
•Relevant Policies and Programs
•Performance Measures
and any other areas that you deem necessary to accurately portray a strategic plan for your IS business such as, but not limited to:
•Contingency Plan
•Five-year Budget Plan
•Participation
•Implementation
