Assignment:
Instructions
The Fourth of July is a very joyful time to be an American and to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and independence. With this excitement, there has been an influx of illegal fireworks being purchased and used in residential neighborhoods. As a crime scene investigator, you have been called to the scene of a house fire on July 4. You suspect that someone using illegal fireworks may have accidentally started that fire. How would you go about determining if the fireworks actually did start the fire? If you determined that the fireworks were the cause, do you think the person who set off the fireworks should be arrested, even though he or she did not mean to start the house fire? Why, or why not?
Your journal entry must be at least 200 words in length. No references or citations are necessary.
