Problem
Findings reveal that lower-income students are concerned about finances, home distractions, and academic resources. First-generation students perceived schools to provide less academic support. COVID-19 made matters worse with FG low- income students and those that were more wealthy. Also, according to the study's findings, social cognitive characteristics such as academic self-concept and self-efficacy play a key influence in determining the academic and life satisfaction of first-generation college students.
