The healing events are described in 3 stages
Stage 1: Wound healing and formation of woven bone (callus) (2 to 6 weeks)
Stage 2: Lamellar compaction and remodeling (6 to 18 weeks)
Stage 3: Maturation and adaptation: (18 to 54 weeks)
