Three different materials A, B, and Care tested in tension using test specimens having diameters of 12 mm and gage lengths of 50 mm. After the specimens are fractured, the distances between the gage marks are found to be 54.1, 63.0, and 70.6 mm, respectiveIy. Also, the diameters are 11.50,9.46, and 6.01 mm, respectiveIy, at the failure cross sections. Determine the percent eIongation and percent reduction in area of each specimen. Also, cIassify the materials as brittle or ductile.
