Determining the Height an Arrow Flies: Mass M.
Response to the following question:
An arrow of mass m is shot vertically upward with initial velocity 160 ft/sec. it experiences both the deceleration of gravity and a drag force of magnitude kv^2 due to air resistance, where v is the velocity and k is a coefficient of air resistance. Assuming a drag coefficient of k=1/800 lb m/ft, how high does the arrow go? does your answer depend on the objects mass?
Show all work.
