Consider a SIMO AWGN channel with NR receive antennas. Instead of maximal ratio combining, the receiver selects the signal from the antenna having the strongest signal; i.e., if h = [h₁, h₂,..., h_NR] is the channel vector, the receiver selects the antenna with channel coefficient

|h_max| = max|h_i|,         i= 1,2,...,N_R

This method is called selection diversity. Determine the capacity of a MIMO system that employs selection diversity.
