Assignment: "Developing a Strategic Plan"
• Examine the strategic planning process. Imagine that your organization is planning to build a pediatric clinic in your local community. Review the pediatric clinics in your neighborhood.
• Determine one external factor and one internal factor that you should consider in the strategic planning of your clinic.
• Determine three reasons why strategic plans fail. Recommend a strategy to overcome each of the reasons you identified and include concepts from the weekly reading in the textbook or from peer-reviewed journal articles.
Many of you are probably familiar with Boston's Children's Hospital. As we explore strategic planning this week, and you share your example with us, I want you to visit the website of Boston's Children's Hospital. Think about how they developed a strategic plan to serve the community and what would be some factors that helped them achieve the ranking of number one on the best children's honor roll.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
