Article II of the Constitution created the Executive Branch/Presidency, which is modeled on George Washington's leadership style of limited exercise of power. Recent presidents have issued numerous executive orders to get around the Constitution's checks and balances that limit their power. To prevent a president from becoming a tyrant/dictator,
a) What additional Constitutional limits should be imposed by the other branches to prevent or block these excessive executive orders?
b) What or who determines if an executive order is excessive?
c) What or who should determine exceptions in cases of a national emergency, such as an attack on us by another nation, fuel shortage, weather, or other?
