This week for your initial post you will design your own epidemiological study that uses a cohort study design. You should select a study question of interest to you; however, keep in mind the question should be well-suited to the required cohort design. State the study question and briefly describe the problem (i.e., what are you studying and why is it a public health problem) Describe your sampling strategy and cohort (e.g., Is the cohort population-based or exposure based? What shared characteristics does the cohort have? What is the source of the cohort or how will you find your sample?) State the timing of your data collection (e.g., Is this prospective, retrospective or historical perspective? How many times or how often will you collect data?) State at least 2 reasons why a cohort study design will work well for or is important to use for this research question.
