Exercise - Design Exploration
Finder' compositions
Your task:
Explore and record interesting view finder compositions. Take at least 15 interesting photographs and make at least 10 sketches.
Instructions:
Construct a hand-made view finder (see below). Go out into the world and record a series of compositions - sketches and photographs. Think zoom in. Focus on details of your compositions, so you can't tell what the subject matter is. Consider too what is inside and outside your frame of vision. Use the ‘Experience Collection Log' supplied, to list your findings.
To make your finder: Cut a 6cm square in the middle of an A4 piece of paper or card.
Attach copies in your Process Diary. You will also need to write a 150 word reflection, outlining your findings.
