Problem
Prepare a Reflective Journal (brief report) on your MBO goal as a part of requirements of organizational Behavior this semester.
Objective- is to outline the personal growth you can achieve for the semester.
This must follow MBO standards
• Create SMART goal(s) for this semester as per MBO standards
• Design an activities list that will outline strategies to achieve the objective(s)
• Develop a contingency plan: A list of two things which prevents you from doing well.
Remember that "Not every change leads to an improvement, but there has never been an improvement without change. "
I am also attaching a "Employability Skills' document that may help you in setting your objectives/goals for the semester. It is Not mandatory to use, but it may help in creating 'goals'
Part A
Feedback on Accomplishments
Your report must:
1. Remind the reader of the objective which was set (A), and further, provide feedback on the extent of goal accomplishment(s) achieved or not achieved for the semester
2. Include a copy of the measurement instrument- how did you measure it? (place in the Appendix)
3. Contain an updated graph which illustrates progress over this semester (provide a visual & incorporate the Self-Efficacy scores)
Part B
Feedback on Goal Setting as a Motivator
This brief report on the goal setting process as applied in this course should include some reflective work such as;
1. The value of MBO as a performance improvement technique for you.
2. The value of MBO as a system of self-leadership for you.
3. Did goal setting work for you?
4. Are you satisfied with the results relative to your objectives?
5. Any changes to your self-efficacy score? (pre-test and post-test)
6. What was learned through this exercise? (think process, not content)
7. Anything else which you may want to report on or comment on.
