Design a yoga practice


Assignment task: Design a yoga practice that is 45-60 minutes long. The purpose of this project is to apply new poses and flows you learn over the 8-week course and to have a practice to use for yourself in the future. A rubric and example for the final project will be posted on Canvas.

Rubric:

Define a Goal: Student defines a goal for the yoga practice.

- What muscles and/or muscle groups are being targeted?

- What is the topic of the yoga practice?

Ex: relaxation, anxiety, stress, sleep, etc.

Length: Yoga practice is at least 45 minutes in length.

- Did you practice the yoga flow to make sure it is between 45-60 minutes?

Variety: Student has a variety of yoga poses.

- Organized flow of poses.

- Ex: Standing first, laying down last, etc.

Effort: Student gave thought and practice into the project.

- How much thought went into the poses that were selected?

- Did you practice the yoga flow to make sure it flows nicely?

Personalization: Student made yoga flow truly for own benefit.

- How many times do you need to remind yourself to breathe in the practice?

- How many times do you need to incorporate a resting pose into the practice?
