Design a sequential circuit that continuously computes the function 2X + Y where the variables X and Y are 2 three-bit unsigned integers each available on a serial interface. A special external data signal (DATA_READY) is asserted whenever each of the bits for X and Y are available.
- New values for X and Y are available roughly every minute.
- Once the function (2X+Y) is computed, the result must be held until a external
DATA_READ signal is asserted and a RESULT_READY signal must be asserted
for the same period of time.
