Design a plywood beam bottom form shown as an alternative in Figure. The beam will be 14 in. × 24 in. First design the class I ply form to span the clear span between 2 × 4s (single span, maximum deflection of 1/16 in.). Then determine maximum shore spacing assuming that the weight of the beam is supported by the 2 × 4s, which back the beam bottom.
