Thesis project topic : Frequency-reconfigurable dual-band antennas with different types of radiation patterns
The aim of this project is to design a dual-band antenna of which each resonance frequency can be tuned independently using varactors controlled by DC bias voltages.
The antenna will be designed with different types of radiation pattern and polarization to suit different applications.
One example is that the pattern at lower band is omni-directionally to receive mobile signal while the pattern at the upper band is broadside with circular polarization to receive satellite signal.
The expected outcome of the project is several working antenna prototypes that are fully tested in the microwave and near-field laboratory. " please use CST software for antenna designs.
