The SLP for this course is based on a paint manufacturing company. The facility employs at least 75 workers. You are the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Manager for this company. Your task is to develop aspects of a health and safety program that addresses worker injury and illness prevention, as well as environmental health and safety protection.
For this SLP, you will address sustainability practices in the company:
- Design 2 strategies that you will utilize to contrast the value of preventing occupational risks over the value of compliance with occupational standards; give specific examples that you would use to illustrate your point to management.
- Identify one way in which the company leaves an environmental impact (such as air pollution, water pollution, waste generation, soil contamination).
- Compare 2 current ways by which the company addresses these environmental impacts, to 2 alternative strategies you propose to reduce the environmental footprint of this company's operations.
- 3-5 pages with 4 references and must pass turn it in.
