Paper Homework: My Gender and Sexuality Story

- (This is my brief introduction) My name is Blank.... I am 36-year-old Latina woman from the island of Puerto Rico. I am the oldest of six children and I have a 5-year-old son. I am currently a Medical case manager at a non-profit organization as well as a full time graduate student. I pride myself in spending quality time with family and friends and I enjoy expressing myself through body art. I enjoy traveling, meditating and doing fun activities with my child.

5) Learning Related to Heterosexuality: describe how you learned that heterosexuality ("straight") was the "normal" sexual orientation.
6) Stereotypes and Source of Origin: what stereotypes about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or trans* ("gender non-conforming") people did you learn while you were growing up? Where did this information come from?
7) Earliest Memory of LGBTQ+ Stigmatization: describe your earliest memory of understanding that being lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or trans* people are stigmatized or discriminated against?
8) Earliest Memory of LGBTQ+ Encounter: Describe your earliest memory of meeting a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or trans* person. What were your thoughts in that encounter?
