To determine how your focus company gives back to its stakeholders, respond to the following by including 1-2 paragraphs for each item:
Who are the company's key stakeholders (individuals or groups to whom the business has a responsibility)? Stakeholders include owners, employees, customers, competitors, and suppliers.
Describe these in terms of the number of employees, the types of customers, their suppliers, their competitors, the number of stockholders, etc.
How does the company address the four dimensions of social responsibility? What is the impact of each dimension on the company's ability to achieve a competitive advantage?
Visit the company's "Investor Relations" or "Corporate Governance" sections of its website and search for a code of ethics or company credo. This may also be included on another part of the website or in the annual report or a separate handbook document.
If no code of ethics exists, look at one for their competition. Indicate how the code is communicated, how it addresses the needs of stakeholders, and name at least one improvement that you would recommend. Do not say "none," as there is always room for improvement.
