Scenario Evaluation Plan Assignment Expectations
1. Re-read your chosen organization scenario. Remember, you may only choose PEACE or Continental for this exercise! Failure to do so will result in a grade of zero for the assignment
.
2. Create an evaluation plan for the new program you devised for your Appendix B scenario organization. Use both process and outcome evaluations in your overall evaluation plan, unless you feel one of these evaluation types is inappropriate for your program. If inappropriate, explain why. Use at least 2 citations in your paper, correctly referenced, to aid in defining evaluation processes. These references may NOT be your text or Appendix B, but should come from acceptable Internet resources. You may also use your text and scenario in addition to these 2 acceptable Internet resources.
3. Describe the specific types of evaluations and measurement tools you would include in your evaluation plan in order to effectively evaluate your human service program.
4. Explain how each evaluation or tool used would serve to analyze various processes and intended outcomes.
5. Once you have completed writing your paper, attach a copy of the grading rubric shown below and critically evaluate your writing.
Give yourself a grade for each element (COLUMN 3) and explain why you gave yourself that grade (COLUMN 4). This assignment is a bit different than ones you have completed this far in HSM. This is an EMPOWERMENT EVALUATION! Your facilitator will review your grading and provide feedback to you, evaluating the grade you provided based on the rubric and information found in your paper.
Your final score will be a combination of the score you give yourself, the instructor's evaluation of that grade and instructor evaluation of your written work.
6. Follow the writing format of:
A. In your introduction, tell the reader what you plan to cover in your paper
B. In the body of your written assignment, respond to each component of the assignment clearly and concisely
C. In your summary, tell the reader what you covered in your paper.
Any ideas or quotes derived from the Internet, text or Appendix should be correctly cited and referenced per APA guidelines. You must Use correct APA formatting for a college-level paper, including title page and appropriate headings.
