Describe the retinotopic map

Problem: The visual information reaches the primary visual cortex (V1) in the occipital lobe at the back of the brain. In V1, the size and specialization of receptive fields increase. Neurons in the visual cortex V1 respond to complex features such as lines, edges, corners, and textures. Hierarchically organized receptive fields in V1 comprise the retinotopic map, a systematic representation of the visual field. Describe in detail how this organization permits the brain to spatially organize visual information processing. List how information reaches V1 as well as how neurons respond to different features. Describe the retinotopic map.
