Two systems that work together and that you may utilize in health care are the electronic health record (EHR) and computerized provider order entry (CPOE). For the next meeting with your departments, you want to be able to provide examples to others in the department about electronic systems and data. You will do so by answering the following:
1. Describe the purpose of an electronic health record (EHR) and a computerized provider order entry (CPOE).
