PROMOTION: For-profitcompanies create a mix of promotional tools to best communicate with the consumer and other stakeholders for various reasons including: a) to encourage consumption, b) customer loyalty, and c) support, as well as d) repeat business. For this reason the promotional mix is also called the Marketing communications mix. Using a blend of promotional tools such as: television, radio and satellite radio, Internet, Magazines/newspapers, sales persons (personal selling), sales incentives, direct marketing to consumers, public relations by creating a good public image and reputation, and outdoor advertising (signage etc.)
