Assignment:
Case Study
Early 21st-Century Public Health Achievements
Previous editions of this text spotlighted a series of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports on the Ten Great Public Health Achievements of the 20th Century. This case study is adapted from a 2011 CDC article describing public health achievements in the first decade of the 21st century, many of which built on the CDC's initial series of reports. Although not presented in typical case-study format, this report bridges the history of public health practice in the United States over two centuries and offers insights into the challenges faced in the early decades of the new century.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
