Assignemnt: Group Service Project Individual Reflection
• Why: Describe the mission of the organization your team served at and explain why you selected the nonprofit organization you worked with? How did the nonprofit's mission reflect your passions? What were you hoping to accomplish in support of that mission?
• Strengths: To what extent did your team focus on individual team strengths during the planning process? How did you tap into your strengths and leverage them? How was each team member involved? What did they contribute? What challenges did you encounter? How did you overcome them? Please provide at least 2-3 concrete examples.
• Leadership: To what extent did you or other members of your team exhibit leadership qualities as described by Kouzes and Posner throughout the planning and/or implementation of the project? Please provide at least 2-3 concrete examples.
• Implementation: How well did your team execute your plan on-site? What challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome them? How did you ensure that volunteers had a positive service experience? How did you work with the organization to produce the results you planned for or adjust if things did not go according to plan?
• Learning: What went really well and which aspects of your project proved to be frustrating or difficult? How did you deal with these issues? What would you do again and what would you do differently in the future? Please provide at least 2-3 concrete take-aways from the experience.
I would highly recommend segmenting the report based on the categories above and include at least one paragraph for each prompt and including a strong opening and closing. I would also encourage the use of specific examples 3-5 pages in length, 12 pt ariel font and double spaced.
For the first point (why)
Make sure to write that our group already choose (new leaf: we'll organize and clean homeless and domestic violence shelters with services) project to volunteer with but then the volunteering organization said that the new leaf was cancelled and they pick a new one for us which is AZAscend (distribute food and turkeys for the thanksgiving) , that is one of our challenges
The second challenge, is after we finished the volunteer work we tried to call the bus driver but the number of the driver is wrong so we couldn't contact with her. And we late.
