Problem 1: Explain why it is not enough to list all the words in the language in order to understand the speakers' phonological knowledge.
Problem 2: Explain the relationship between the lexicon and the phonological component. In other words, discuss whether speakers learn phonological rules that are then applied to the lexicon to create different allomorphs, or whether they store each allomorph in the lexicon. Do we have evidence or counterevidence of the model that you support?
