Guidelines for quote-
A. Introduce your quotation with a signal phrase that names the speaker, listener, and situation and is connected to the quotation by a comma or colon (:). A quotation never stands alone.
B. Include the page number in a parenthetical citation. Make sure the period follows the citation.
C. After your quotation, comment on its significance.
D. Example: After killing the giant marlin with his harpoon, Santiago laid his head on his hands which rested on the skiff's bow and said: "I am a tired old man. But I have killed this fish which is my brother and now I must do the slave work". Santiago must now lash the marlin to the skiff and sail for home.
