Berthold (2016 p. 609) describes groups work as a powerful process by which people are influenced to try new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. The CHW as the facilitator will need to be prepared for various scenarios that may come up within the group. Describe the group as a social system and how this may help the CHW achieve the best outcomes for the people participating in the group. Explain why contagion is viewed as both a beneficial and harmful process when facilitating a group.
