Although the chapter specifically addresses CEO succession planning, some form of succession planning is also highly desirable for management positions at all levels. Imagine that you are a first-line manager of fairly large department. Describe the features of your own informal succession plan for your position. In other words, you are to write about the steps you should consider taking to ensure that your position is appropriately covered should you resign or otherwise become unavailable.
