When considering the literature on family systems, find one family that has young children (younger than 5 years of age). Schedule some time to speak with this family or a single family member and become familiar with the family system. Then, prepare a discussion post that contains the following:
Describe the family system without disclosing names of the family members.
Describe how you made the person or family feel comfortable talking about personal issues.
Based on the conversation you had, discuss any experiences or needs you noticed regarding career development.
If appropriate, discuss the challenges of dual careers that you discerned from the conversation.
Relate couples counseling to career counseling.
