Assignment task: Teaching someone with disability how to count money
Q1. Describe the way in which you plan to design the teaching task.
Q2. Determine the most straight-forward, most typical, most easily learned way of doing the task and a set up that will be appropriate for your learner.
Q3. Describe the factors that influenced your choices related to method.
Q4. Provide a task analysis. Identify any risky or difficult steps and how you will handle those.
Q5. Describe any tools, jigs or aids that you plan to use. For example, you might decide to make a 'picture' recipe for the learner to use as Margo had access to in the video. Try not to surround the learner with teaching tools that will make them appear incompetent. Make sure the jigs and tools are enhancing and adult like.
Q6. Describe where you will teach the task. If possible teach the task in the setting where it will actually be used by the learner. Decide where you will stand or sit in relation to the person.
