Based on the film "The Class Divided" discusses the ways in which the relations between the blue-eyed and brown-eyed children parallel the relations between groups in the larger society as far as the basis of inter-group conflict is concerned. In so doing, discuss the situational factors that lead to such conflict in terms of differential power relations or unequal status, the use of cultural ideologies and social categorization, stereotyping etc. Based on the film, describe the effects that social oppression has on members of minority groups and how prejudice and racism may be reduced.
