Describe the developmental stages of school-age. Marley is six years old and attends first grade in a local public school. Marley's parents are divorced, and she spends the weekdays with her mother and the weekends with her father. Her father owns an up-and-coming bakery, and her mother is a lawyer. Due to her parents' long work hours, Marley attends after-school care until 6:00 each night. Marley has two best friends at school, and each day at recess, they like to play hide-and-go-seek. Marley is excellent at hiding and seeking. She also likes to sing and dance to her favorite songs when they come on the radio. Marley loves story time at school and raises her hand frequently to answer questions about the books her teacher reads. She can write her name and other high-frequency words. Marley is also quite active and likes to jump rope, hop, and skip when she plays outside.
