Describe the bald eagles trophic pyramid

Problem

Background

Bald eagles are keystone species and the top predators in their terrestrial food chains. However, bald eagles, like many top predators, have life history characteristics that make them more prone to extinction than are species on which they prey, such as mice, which are smaller and have many young. In this food chain, the mice eat insects/grasshoppers and the insects/grasshoppers feed on plants.

1) Describe the bald eagle's trophic pyramid. Using the correct terminology, describe each of the trophic levels and How they are related to one another. How much energy moves between the levels? Why is more energy is not moved betweeen the levels (what is it used for)?

2) Describe at least two life history_characteristics as discussed in class (K versus r species) of bald eagles. Explain WHY and HOW each of these characteristics could make bald eagles prone to extinction when compared to other species.
