Week One
This assignment consists of three parts. All three parts must be combined into one document before uploading the assignment to Blackboard.
Part 1
• Watch the video "How to Develop a Good Research Topic"
• Create a research topic for your traditional research. Focus on all the attributes that make a good topic and remember to narrow down your topic to a particular group and problem.
Part 2
• Watch the video "Concept mapping of key ideas"
• Create research map for the topic you created in Part 1.
Part 3
• Write a short paper 4 pages excluding non-content pages) on the process for choosing a good research topic
o Include detailed information on how you were able to narrow down the theme into your topic.
o Include your research map from Part 2
o Include your perspective topic from Part 1
The paper must follow the formatting guidelines in The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2010), (6th ed., 7th printing), and contain scholarly references. In addition, the paper will be submitted through the SafeAssign originality-checking tool.
Week-two
Week 2 - TR Problem Statement Development
Problem Statement & Research Question(s)
This assignment consists of two parts. Please combine both parts into one document before uploading to Blackboard.
Part 1
• Watch the video "Problem Statement"
• Write a problem statement on the topic created in week 1.Your problem statement must thoroughly describe the problem and include:
o Facts (shows that your problem is a problem)
o The problem (What is your research problem?)
o Why it is a problem?
o A summary of how you are going to fix the problem
Watch the video "Developing a Research Question"
Create two research questions for research topic you created in week 1.
Remember that research questions should focus on the purpose of the research and should provide an answer to the research problem.
Part 2
• Write a short paper 4 pages excluding non-content pages) on the process of coming up with a good problem statement and research questions.
• Your paper should be detailed enough so that someone can read it and come up with the same or similar research questions.
• The paper must follow the formatting guidelines in The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2010), (6th ed., 7th printing) and contain scholarly references. In addition, the paper will be submitted through the SafeAssign originality-checking tool.
Week-three
Research Introduction
• Watch the video "How to write the introduction: Part 1"
• Write a Research Introduction paper on the topic created in week 1.
o The paper should be 4 pages (excluding non-content pages)
o Must include:
a background of the research
the problem/problem statement
the purpose
the research questions
the hypotheses or propositions
o Please see attached exemplar.

Week-Four
Literature Review:
• Watch the video "Literature Review"
• Review the attached Literature Review documents
• Write a literature review paper on the topic created in week 1.
Your paper must consist of the following:
This Paper should be 4 Pages
• Be organized by categories or themes using sub-headings, as needed.
• Include an introduction to the literature.
• Thoroughly compare literature (not an annotated bibliography.)
• Summarize.
• Contain 8 to 12 peer-reviewed, scholarly references published within the past 5 years.
• Follow the formatting guidelines in The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2010), (6th ed., 7th printing).
• Contain scholarly references.

Week-five
Methodology
• Watch the video "Exploratory, Descriptive and Explanatory Nature of Research"
• Optionally, watch the video "What is Descriptive Research?"
• Optionally, watch the video "What is Exploratory Research?"
• Choose one or more of the three recommended research methodologies and write a methodology paper on your selected topic
o The paper must include the reasons and justification for your selected approach using a minimum of five (5) peer-reviewed references,
Your paper should be 4 pages and include:
• Research Design: Describe and define the anticipated research approach or strategy to be used and how this approach is appropriate for this research
• Participants: Describe the anticipated sample population (number, gender, age, socio-economics, etc.) including how you will obtain permission and consent
• Instrumentation: Describe any instruments you anticipate using to collect data
• Procedure: Provide the detail about how you anticipate conducting the research
• Data Processing and Analysis: Explain, in detail, how you anticipate processing and analyzing collected data

Week six
Research Results/Findings
• Watch the video "Understanding Research Results- Description and Correlation Blackboard" and "Results, Discussion Conclusion chapters"
• Optionally, watch the video" Results, Discussion, Conclusion Chapters"
• Write your research findings paper on the topic created in week 1.
This should be 3 pages
Your research results paper must:
• Include the results of your study
• Include figures and tables along showing visual comparisons
• Include narrative text (not bullet points) describing the comparisons

Week Seven
Research Discussion
• Watch the video from Week 10 "Results, Discussion Conclusion chapters"
• Write a research discussion paper of 3 Pages for your research.
The paper must include:
• A discussion and evaluation of the conflicting results
• A discussion of the unexpected findings
• A discussion on how the findings answer your research questions, address the hypotheses or propositions
• An explanation of the implication of your findings (why they are important and how they affect our understanding of the research problem).

Week Eight
Research Conclusion
• Watch the video from Week 10 & 11 "Results, Discussion Conclusion chapters", write a research conclusion paper for your study.
This should be 3 Pages
The paper must include:
• A summarization of the entire research project
o What you set out to do (purpose)
o What you did (methods)
o What you found (results)
A critical evaluation of the research project, future research suggestions, and recommendations.
