I was looking into some policies I could talk about and find out more in depth about. The Affordable Care Act was passed through former President Barack Obama. It was sought to make health care more accessible, improve the quality of care, and reduce overall healthcare costs for Americans. The ACA, also known as "Obamacare," was enacted through legislation passed by the United States congress and signed into law on March 23, 2010. I feel this is great policy to have and help many people that can use this. The source of this policy is the federal government via Congress and the executive branch under former President Obama. The Affordable Care Act directly impacted healthcare access for millions of Americans, and its outcomes are still being debated. I feel that Act has done a lot to reduce barriers to care, but it can still be improved. I feel it can be improved by making it more premiums for the middle class more affordable or families who do not qualify for the finances.
