Teratogens:
Teratogens interfers with fetal development that can cause congenitals disibilities. It can increase the risk for a preterm labor, miscarriage or still born birth. Moms can prevent this by not partaking in drugs, alcohol, smoking, and toxic chemical substance abuse.
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
This is a condition that stems from the consupmtion of alcohol during pregnancy by the mother. It can cause brain damage and growth problems. This is a condition that cannot be reversed. Mother and father can reduce the impact of this by not ingesting alcohol while conceiving and carrying the unborn fetus during pregnancy.
Congenital heart disease
This congenital problem is also a result of massive consumption of alcohol during the development of the fetus. It could also cause other birth defects such as Atrial Septal Defect, Ventricular Septal Defect, Pulmonary Atresia, and many others. The mother can avoid this by not taking harmful medications and drinking alcohol.
All three congenital problems can be reduced by the mother as well as the father by being continuous and supportive of one another as well as the fetus.
