Describe racial groups in fantasy history

Problem:

There are racial groups in Fantasy's history that are not properly recognized or respected. These issues have been around for decades. White supremacy, and prejudice and misunderstanding toward people of colour are already largely established in fantasy genre. This lack of race and representation in the fantasy genre might make a power imbalance. Who dominates or asserts power that creates stereotypes, bias, and exclusion among people? Only White people? In the reading, "Race and Popular Fantasy Literature: Habits of Whiteness," Helen Victoria Young mentions Hight fantasy's medievalist eurocentric and problematic construction of race (Young, p.2) Last week, we talked about intersectionality, which acknowledges that unique oppression exists, but ask questions to people about who may be excluded and examine people's own privileges. To have a better understanding about diverse races and cultural representation in the fantasy genre, people need to embrace different races and backgrounds each other and understand that all people in the world are valuable.  Also, people need to seek out a more equitable future of the fantasy genre, so that all the races can be included.
