Problem:
Flower color in the desert poppy is determined by two independent loci. At each locus, color is added to the flower. At the first locus, a dominant allele adds blue color to the flower. The homozygous recessive gives pink to the flower. At the second locus, the dominant allele adds pink to the color and the homozygous recessive adds blue. For the final color, two blues result in a blue flower, two pinks result in a pink flower and a combination of blue and pink result in a lavender flower.
