Describe one visual element and one design principle at play and how they work together in the overall creation of the work.
Use the knowledge and vocabulary you have acquired thus far to articulate your response. Do not just say that you like the colors, explain how they are used. You might find examples in the work of directional force, repetition, unity and state how they are working along with the visual elements to organize the work into a collective whole. You should formulate your initial post as follows for each museum:
Work of art: Title, Artist, Date, Medium (include an image or a link to the work).
What region, period, collection does it belong to: ex: Egyptian Art from the Middle Kingdom located in the Hammer Building at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Visual Element: ex: light, line, texture and how it is specifically used
Design Principle: ex: Balance, contrast, directional force and how it is specifically used
Take time looking through the online collection. Find something you like. It can be anything (print, painting, sculpture, ceramic)
